Cameo Roles & Mundane Affairs

The term "cameo role" refers to a famous person who was playing no character, but him or herself; A cameo role is a small role played in a movie or play, by a higher standing actor or someone of relative fame (politician, sports figure, talk show host, etc.). This is usually a very brief appearance to add punch to the topic in the film/play. The function of a cameo is typically to add humor or substance to the brief time the character is onscreen.
