Cameo Roles and Mundane Affairs
I used to have Twitter for Blackberry and Übertwitter on my phone. It came to a point that I have to choose which one I should use. You see, the Bold 9000’s flash memory is just 125MB unlike the Onyx or what you call the Bold 9700, which has 256MB. My flash memory is somewhat in a critical stage right now since I have installed a lot of apps (evil laugh) – like smrtguard, memoryUp, Captureit, wavesecure, Paypal, Plurk , Tumblr. , Facebook, ubertwitter, dictionary, Ms office, eBay, Time magazine, twitter for BB , some calorie counter app and a lot more! Thus, I need to choose – Twitter for BB or ubertwitter. I read a few online reviews and most people would choose ubertwitter because it’s lighter. Some users would go for the official twitter app because according to them, it looks better.
I’ve been using ubertwitter for more than a month now I decided to take it out and go with the twitter for bb instead. Since I had both on my phone, I need to find out which one’s better. The official twitter for blackberry is a newbie, launched. just April of this year. I admit, twitter for blackberry is pretty – it gives you that genuine look and feel of twitter…makes you wanna spend more time in twitter! However, it sucks up my battery faster than a black hole! Seriously, I needed to recharge my batt every 12 hours. Well, ubertwitter is lighter and travel-friendly albeit the interface is not that attractive, admit that.
I want the ubertwitter’s friendliness but it looks plain and boring. I will stick with T for BB for the meantime but I hope they come up pretty soon with a version that is batt-friendly or I’ll switch back to plain ole’ ubertwitter.
Weather, weather, are you causing my colds?
Okay, so I got loads to say here. First, I feel sick. Change in weather, perhaps? The sound of rain the other day made me jump. I realized summer’s almost over. I don’t like the scorching sun, the heat, the rotating brownouts and I don’t like sweating. I should be glad. Although I feel a bit sad. Maybe because deep inside I heart summer, too?:)

The rainy season has started…yet the election fever is still sizzling hot. Although, I’m saddened by the fact that my VP bet is 800k votes behind Jeje. My sis kept bugging me via text to update her so I always reply with the same thing – it ain’t over til it’s over jeje! :p

HARD ROCK HOTEL SENTOSA
I was in Singapore last week with Jewels and Blithe. The place is pretty amazing – clean and traffic-less city, what more can I ask for? Its friendly people are a plus, too! These positive points will surely make me come back to Singapore. But first, I’ll make sure they have completed all attractions in Universal Studios. I was a bit disappointed that the Human vs. Cylon roller coaster (world’s tallest dueling roller coasters) wasn’t working that day! Bummer! It just sat there staring back at me while I kept complaining, “Dude, you’re the reason I wanted to go here in the first place!”
I was also hoping to witness the Voyage de la vie..I guess I’ll just catch those death-defying stunts next time. Shopping and dining inside the park was fun and the food is superb – especially desserts! I wasn’t able to buy the pillow-sized Hershey’s bar I was eyeing just before we went in the park! When we were about to leave, we stopped by Hershey’s again but the line was too long and we were in a hurry to catch a 3d movie at Vivo city. I wanted to try their casino too, but Blithe was hesitant as she was tired already and wanted to sleep early. The Lamborghini displayed outside the casino was such an eye candy! Haha.

We were able to do the night safari the next day but we weren’t allowed to take photos (boo!) but still, we enjoyed it. How was it? Hmn, crickets were sounding off, it smelled like nature, and of course, animal poop, hehe! Next time, I’ll try the SG Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Yaya said, we should have tried those ones instead of the night safari. An hour before we left, we met yaya at the airport. We were so engrossed with all the talking and gossiping and we later realized that everyone has boarded the plane already, LOL. Well, they were like…err sort of waiting for the three of us to get our butts up the plane.

Jewels’ Treo died on my hands a week ago while I was transferring some files from her phone to my memory card. The poor kid cried, literally, and she demanded that I get her a blackberry or an iPhone (rolls eyes). I tried saving her phone the day it broke down but I guess my skills were not going along with me. So, I thought okay, well I gotta buy a new phone for her (complaining).
My first stop was at ebay. Saw a Treo Pro which was put up for auction with a starting bid of P10 and Blackberry Curve 8520 at 14k. Last night though when I saw her phone lying lifelessly at the console table in my parents’ room, I thought I should tinker this junk again. Haha. So I opened it up cleaned and pushed some buttons.
And voila! It was running again. However, it wasn’t able to detect any network signal which disappointed me greatly. So a just a few hours ago, I decided to dissect the phone again and was able to fix the internal antenna. Yay me! I guess my ass was saved, no? Thanks to my ability to tinker things
