Nothing’s busier than a busy week!

logo

I’m on a break right now, so I’m here, coming up with a few lines or so…

My week has been crazy. How about yours? I know Lurchie’s week has been pretty much crazy as mine. And Joy’s too. The next couple of weeks will probably be as crazy as this week. I need my super powers real fast. Too much crazy words, no? Crazy.

LOTS of work keeps every workaholic happy, right? But it could be a source of stress too. The next couple of weeks will test my ability to stay up for 48 hours straight. Earlier, I was actually complaining of eye strain. Thank goodness there’s Tears Naturale to turn to. If you’re the type of person who works for long hours in front of the pc, this soothing eye drops are of great help. You can use it as often as you want unlike commercialized products like Visine or Eyemo which are not advisable to be used frequently.

I don’t like to think of all the work I have in my hands right now. Nanananana. I wanna think Happy thoughts :D I want to review Adam Sandler’s movies in my mind. Now, wait, that’s exhausting to do. Maybe I should just continue punching on the keys here. Well, do you know that in our day to day lives, there are actually things which sometimes leave us in a confused state, a bad mood or make us angry but they actually sound pretty funny once we’ve snapped back to reality? (that kinda sounds like eminem). Here are some funny things that I know I did, you did, we all did :D

  • Turn off your desktop/laptop for 10-15 minutes every day. C’mon, give it a rest. Nothing really important will pop up on your wall in facebook. Well, maybe just in time when you log on :D Facebook is fun, really, but not my cup of tea.
  • Don’t get mad at the electric company for shutting your area down. This is inevitable. Don’t blame yourself either. I tried to control my temper a hundred times, I realized, there is really no one to blame for blackouts. Technical problems are normal.
  • Don’t confuse coffee with water. Water is transparent. Coffee is black. Soda pops aren’t water either. Darn, it gets utterly confusing.
  • I have blamed the weather a hundred times for intermittent connection; I realize it doesn’t really listen to my woes and pleas, hehe. So I gave up.
  • On running out of ink – I always think – Oh no, end of the world!
  • On working straight days: I get confused if when did Monday really start.
  • I don’t look forward to weekends. Weekends? Huh, when is that?

Passion for work is good but I always remind myself, “Don’t confuse your job with your life.” Problem is, my job eats up 16 hours of my daily life. My being confused or angry, happy or ecstatic on petty things like that is just normal. No, I haven’t lost my sanity yet…not yet!:D YES! I am a workaholic, but in my case, I get to interact too with some elements that don’t run with electricity and walk around without a cord or a plug, like a person perhaps? LOL.

So to workaholics out there, take a break once in a while. Go out, take a walk and smell the fresh air :)

Have a productive week!

p.s. Happy 25th Birthday Lurchie!

awwwhhh.. I like these kinds of weeks. (workaholic nga)
it feels so nice po.. but admittedly we have to have contact with the outside world. hehehe the kids help me with that part of my life. :)

Thanks so much for the greeting po!! :)

I believe this will be a productive week!! :)

Been having a pretty busy and alarming week myself pero with the rain to keep my head cool (and my laptop from overheating!) I think I’m doing alright :D Pero I do admit, Facebook-ing really does eat up a lot of my keyboard-punching time. :(

:( Yes, Maree! It has been a really busy, very trying week – what with Jolina and all that she has done to make me want to grab her and toss her out into the ocean (I need super powers here LOL). Still, the weather is fine these days – and I wasn’t able to complain about my being jinxed and all that (thanks to my busy but really rewarding schedule). Many times in the past days, I opened wordpress and started typing about being jinxed but it is nowhere as rewarding as it would have been had I been able to write in the middle of the event – which I couldn’t because of the power failures and no internet connection :(

    Some points:
~ No matter what wise people say, I still blame 1) the electric company and 2) the weather :D Sometimes, it feels so nice to have a scapegoat – these two are the best and most reliable! ;)
~ Being busy is something to complain about – I do love complaining about being busy :D . Still, being busy means making money (or is it?), so, I shouldn’t really be complaining, right? but darn this busy schedule :D

Hmmm, gotta get back to working on my last website :) the deadline’s almost here but I’m still on my first article. :D Well, this is my 15-minute break :D

Last piece: Let’s all head to the beach!

  5. [...] had a major rush project but the weather and the electric company decided to play with us (Lurchie, Maree, and, perhaps, my other colleagues). The power would turn off for several minutes or hours, turn on [...]

Maybe I should visit Dumaguete City early next year :D Attend a festival or something… So, there’s Lurchie, Joy, Joselle and Chrisy. It could be fun! :)

  7. joy says:

@Maree: You are very welcome to visit here :D
