Comment: Why you even call yourself a freelance writer is beyond me. Your writing – not to mention, your team’s – is amateurish, boring, and . . . did I mention boring? Do yourself a favor and find another job.

I got this comment the other day and I thought of completely ignoring this but then maybe, I should blog about it. Bottom line is – this is unhealthy for the team. To the anonymous person who left the comment, here are a few things I want to say to you:
First, we keep our clients happy. That’s what’s important, right? Our clients have been with us since day one. If I and my team are “amateurish and boring” just the way you have branded us, then you are not welcome here. Go tell it to our clients, see if they’ll listen to you. Who are you to judge anyway? A pulitzer prize winner? And why are you in hiding? Why didn’t you post your website or your blog site on the comment box? Are you worried I’ll be posting slanderous words in return? I was not brought up by my folks to have an attitude like yours.
Second, don’t be resentful. It’s because we are happy with what we do and we make our clients happy is no reason for you to feel envious and leave a harsh comment. Sure, we cannot please everyone. Oh well, the heck I care if you are displeased…? You’re not a client of ours in the first place. You are not in the right position to say that we are “amateur and boring”. Only the ones who pay us (people who we refer to as clients) are entitled to criticize our work.
Third, stop being obnoxious. We got a whole community to feed. I’m actually offended with what you’ve said. I’m pretty sure the others are, too. If you have nothing nice to say, leave this site. Unless you want to heartily donate your whole salary, then we might consider packing up. How much do you make in a month by the way? Is it enough to pay the monthly earnings of 20 writers, editors and staff? Say, each freelancer earns a minimum of $150 a month. Could your salary cover for all of that? I doubt. So better quit yakking.
Tell me, why would I give up this team if, in truth and in fact, our clients need us? Why would I give it up when there are hungry mouths to feed? When there are kids to send to school? When there are monthly bills to settle? When they have someone sick in the family needing financial support? When they have medications to buy and maintain? When they are saving for their future? You don’t know that, right? So before you say anything stupid, ask first. You don’t know how much it affects me and everyone else. You just don’t know how much we have sacrificed and what we gave up to get to where we are. How dare you belittle and ridicule us. You do not have any right at all.
So, why am I blogging about you? I am just saddened to share to everyone that there are fellow Filipinos like you who will do something awful just to bring others down. Respect begets respect. Refine your attitude. And if you still find this amusing then you’re the most callous and scurrilous a$sh0|e I’ve ever known.
Here’s a good way to say adieu to you: Envy is the art of counting the other fellow’s blessings instead of your own.
To Anonymous—- give me a decent job with the same pay I get right now from Havenforwriters and I’ll quit. p.s. i earn at least P9,000 just from freelance writing(4 days of work) and the money i get goes to my son’s tuition. Back off, will you? Just be happy for us.
I object to the comment for the reasons as listed below.
First, it is a hearsay comment because obviously, it doesn’t come from any of our clients. WH doesn’t have a client from Makati or from any part of Asia for that matter.
Second, no client of ours has ever responded negatively on our work. Assuming arguedo that they are, we offer unlimited revisions until they are satisfied.
Third, I have personally read the works of most writers and they have given me quite an impression.
Consequently, none of that person’s comments matter. What is of the essence for WH is the satisfaction of our clients for quality work and also of our writers for a generous pay.
With all that in mind, it is my humble submission that the allegations are false and could not support a valid claim.

Whoever wrote that ridiculous allegation is envious and an idiot. The commenter couldn’t be a client so he/she was either an applicant writer who was refused, a previous employee who got fired or an envious rival writer. Either way it is so narrow minded to post that comment. Grow up little person. You’re so conceited I could not see you as no more than the tip of a pin. Have some respect for yourself. People like you make me sick. If you call yourself a rival, don’t, because you’re not even worth it. Get a life!!! Whatever nationality you are (though I know you’re filipino), it’s amateurish to comment when you’re not in position to do so. Next time you play at being a critic, give a sample to support your two-cent views. People like you are a dime a dozen and a loser. You Do Not Worth Sh!t(Poo).LMAO.

Seriously, dude, whoever you are, if you do not like our writing, then why are you reading the blog and the website? Scoping out the competition? OR maybe we are just downright better than you?

i could smell the envy and jealousy in your every word… eat your heart out!!! if we are ‘amateurish and boring’, then our clients will never be satisfied with our service. how come they still continue to work with us? and they’re not just ‘some company’ they’re huge online companies. To the rest of the team, keep the fire burning…we love our work, we enjoy what we are doing and we earn in what we love doing and we should not be affected with some stupid and CARELESS comment like this!
