Are You Happy With Your Job?

Just like any of you bloggers, I got two jobs – one that is killing with me boredom and the other is feeding my mind. Before I was enslaved by boredom, I thought I will be satisfied as a mere, low-ranking, government employee receiving a minimum wage. But as days and months pass by, I was gobbled up by this ennui. I start to become lethargic. I thought I need to have a back up plan. I need to get another job or at least own a small business.

It’s been proven. The moolah I receive as a government slave cannot satiate my necessities – bills, groceries, cell phone loads, and shoes. Oh, I’m sucker for shoes, name it – wedges, boots, pumps, etc. :p Shoes, glorious shoes! It is human nature to hunger for more, am I right? All of us hunger for at least something. Survey says the top two things people hunger are love and money. True. We humans, sometimes even forget to feed our hungry soul. After a hard day’s work, all of us have a lot to face – stress, household chores, family, financial, health and family problems, etc. All of these make our body tired and weak and we just drift to sleep forgetting to utter a prayer. So here’s a simple tip – before you turn your on your tube to watch a late night old movie, say your prayer. Before you turn of your computer off, say your prayer. Before you read a book, say your prayer. Right after you wake up in the morning, give thanks. Prayers should not follow any time tables. Praying is not only done before you say good night. Prayers could be said anytime, anywhere. :)

SAVE ME!

SAVE ME!

Let’s get back to my murmurs. So, I’m labeling myself as a government slave. Why? Because I need to be there 8 hours a day! Sometimes, doing nothing or going crazy over paperwork. I consider this job ‘seasonal’ because I only do heavy work when people flock to file cases and if there are none, I get sleepy just by looking at the clock and familiar faces. And with this kind of monotonous job, I feel so unproductive and uncreative. Hell yeah, I’m bored to death. Oh well, aside from that, there are other “factors” that just don’t work for me. In short, my work environment is unhealthy for me, LMAO. Sometimes when ‘it’ comes around, I just close my eyes for a sec and flush it down the drain. Woosh. Go, figure. Or better yet ask me, you might get lucky. (Insert snort here).

It is a dungeon where stern, soul-piercing eyes linger, where serpents and unsightly beasts nest. Just a thought of it gives me the shudders. I assumed salvation has dawned. I saw a streak of sunshine flash but later faded as the night blankets the world. The spark of hope vanished into the abyss. I realized it was just a figment of my imagination…a disappointment. I need to, I got to, I have to escape from this hideous berth before the shadow consumes me. –captured from my thoughts.

I consider my work at HavenforWriters.com as my main job – one that I love. It simply brings life to my veins and supplies me with oxygen. This is the part where I can breathe well, work well, live well. I love the people working with me. Their enthusiasm, diligence, talents and hard work are always appreciated. It has been said – It’s one of the best teams. Kudos to you guys!

So, are you happy with your job? And why? Post your answers on the comment box :P

the first job as a govt employee bores me but i might say that it may help me gain experience….the work is tiring and the pay is, may i say, not satisfactory.
my second job might be tiring and exhausting…. but bet yah, i love what i’m doing, i get paid for what i love doing and i learn a lot from it.
